Sandalwood Oil is steam distilled from the wood and branches of this small bushy tree.
Also known as Amyras, West Indian Sandalwood, Jamaican Sandalwood, West Indian Rosewood.
Used for torches by fishermen and traders. Known as 'candle wood' because of its high oil content.
Promotes feeling of peace and serenity and therefore good to vaporise on its own or it can be mixed with Cedarwood and other woody oils. Calming and an aid to stress relief.
Aquarians (21 Jan - 19 Feb) appreciate sensuous, deep and mysterious oils.
Properities: Relaxing, sensual and soothing.
Directions: Dilute 5% or less in a carrier / base oil before applying to the skin. Vapourise one to two drops of oil in your oil burner (always put water in the dish of your oil burner first then sprinkle one to two drops onto the water, do no allow the dish of your oil burner to run dry).
Principal & Chemotyping Constituents: Caryophyllene, cadinene and cadinol.
